I was born in Chidambaram , Cuddalore district. My father worked in the central govt (CISF) sector. And mother as a house maker, Basically, I grew up in the spiritual background of old south arcot rural villages. As I was not very much interested in academic sound during my college days, So, I involved myself in Yoga, Healing therapy, Counselling and women social activities. Soon after my UG studies, I dedicate myself to serve among the rural women self-help group to help them to understand their social, economic and spiritual responsibility from our cultural society.
The Kalki Prabanja has given me the opportunity to understand the social and cultural system of Indic Dharma. At the beginning of my Hindu spiritual life we constructed a temple for people in my village. The experience over the 27 years has taught me that the participatory, people connected methodology of spiritualization will ideologically educate the rural communities from their vulnerabilities and lead the empowerment process towards nation building and Hindu spirituality.
After I organised rural women, it helped me to contribute for my own Paraiyar community women's meaningful participation in economics, politics and spirituality. At present we started a movement called "Paraiyar Magalir Aanmeega Mandram (The Spiritual Movement of Paraiyar Women)". We conduct Thiruvilakku Pujas in village temples on every full moon day. Due to this experience, there are currently three thousand Paraiyar women members of our movement.
